Marihuanilla, honeyweed also called motherwort siberian is an herbaceous plant from Asia.
It is native to southern Siberia, Japan, China, and Vietnam.
This plant measures approximately 80 cm to 1 meter in height.
The flowers are purple, leonurus sibiricus is known as little marihuanilla.

Today, it is also grown in the Chiapas region of Mexico and Brazil for its soothing properties.
It is part of the large Lamiaceae family just like catnip and lemon balm.

Honeyweed is used in traditional medicine for several uses.
