Balloon pepper or Bishop's crown pepper is a chili of the Solanaceae family.
It is an ancient variety of chilli native to Peru.
It is also called Rocotillo pepper.
This pepper has a very characteristic shape.
Its fruit looks like a small red mushroom.
Balloon pepper is 80 cm to 1.20 meters high.
On the scale of Scoville it is considered not very pungent. (same intensity as Espelette gorria pepper)

Sowing of balloon pepper seeds:

Sow Bishop's crown pepper seeds directly in a box of fine potting soil, cover with only 1 to 2 millimeters of fine substrate.
