Astragalus is a plant of the Fabaceae family.
It is native to South America but it is now also found in Asia.
It is a small plant that measures 20 cm in height.
The seeds of Astragalus are small, yellow in color and same those of mallow or flannel weed.

Astragalus was used by Native Americans during ethnic ceremonies.
Navajo tribe also use this plant for its phantasmic virtues.
They called it "locoweed" meaning wild grass.

In current medicine, researchers exploit astragalus, wolfberry and indian ginseng because these plants have highly anti-cancer properties.

Sowing of locoweed seeds:
Sow your Astragalus seeds in a mix of potting soil and sand.
Cover your seeds with 2 to 3 mm of fine potting soil and then water gently.
Germination of Astragalus seed usually takes a few weeks.

Do not consume without medical advice.
To be cultivated solely for the purpose of an ethnobotanical collection.
