Mentha arvensis BANANA MINT (plant)

Banana mint or Mentha arvensis is an unusual and rustic variety of wild mint whose smell and taste is similar to the scent of banana.
It is a very resistant variety of mint with rapid growth and strong development.
Its flowers are purple in color and form at the end of summer.
Banana mint seeds are tiny, resembling those of lemon balm.

The leaves of banana mint are edible, just like those of mojito mint, chocolate mint or Vietnamese mint, and can be consumed as an infusion, herbal tea or in the form of sorbet.
