Sandalwood, red bead tree, Adenanthera pavonina, also called saga tree is a big tree of the Fabaceae family.
It is a tropical small-leaved plant native to Asia.
The fruits are pods filled with red seeds resembling coral tree or mescal bean.
Flowers of sandalwood are yellow.
On the island of Reunion, it is called saga tree.

Red bead tree wood is a precious wood used to make exotic wood furniture rot.

Sowing sandalwood seeds:
