Hops, hop or Humulus lupulus is a species of flowering plant in the Cannabaceae family, native to Europe, western Asia and North America.
Humulus lupulus is the main ingredient of many beers, and as such is widely cultivated for use by the brewing industry.
The fragrant flower cones impart bitterness and flavor, and also have preservative qualities.
Hops are also used in herbal medicine in a way similar to valerian, as a treatment for anxiety, restlessness, and insomnia.
A pillow filled with hops is a popular folk remedy for sleeplessness, and animal research has shown a sedative effect.
Sowing of Hops seeds:
Sow your hops seeds in a tray of fine soil, then cover your seeds with 1 to 2 mm of soil.
Laminate your Humulus lupulus seeds tray either naturally by leaving it out in the winter or artificially leaving your tray 2 to 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
Then spray water over it and let it grow quietly.
Repot your hop seedlings in a partially shaded area as soon as they reach 5 cm in height.
