Description

Devil's Apple, also known as Datura or Jimsonweed, is a European species belonging to the Solanaceae family. It is an annual plant that is highly toxic.

Its fragrant leaves are large and intense green. They are arranged alternately along the stem, creating a striking contrast with the emerging flowers. The leaf edges are often wavy, adding to their dynamic appearance. During the growth period, they form dense foliage that gives the plant a lush look.

The flowers possess a haunting beauty, often trumpet-shaped, and can reach up to 15 centimeters. They generally appear in shades of white, exhaling a sweet and intoxicating scent, especially at night. Each flower opens in a spiral, revealing a delicate corolla that attracts various pollinators. While captivating, these flowers hide a toxic potential, making the plant both fascinating and dangerous.

The fruit of the stramonium is a ball the size of a chestnut, covered in numerous spines.
