Description and uses:

Siberian ginseng, also called Ciwujia or Eleutherococcus senticosus in Latin, is a shrub in the Araliaceae family.
It is a small, medium-sized tree native to Siberia.
Ciwujia is spiny and measures 2 to 3 meters in height.
Its leaves are alternate and palmate.
Its fruits are black, fleshy berries.
Siberian ginseng seeds are yellow in color, half-moon and flat.

In medicine, herbalists often call it Siberian ginseng due to its spectacular properties.
Eleuthero is also commonly used as a substitute for ginseng in Russia.
Russians have used Siberian ginseng for over 4,000 years to stimulate the appetite, increase lifespan and ensure better health.

Sowing and cultivation:

The best time to sow Ciwujia seeds is from February to the beginning of April in order to take advantage of the winter season to carry out effective natural stratification.
If the stratification period is exceeded, stratify for 1 to 2 months in the refrigerator freezer.
Then, prepare a box of seedling soil, place the Siberian ginseng seeds on top and then cover them with a few millimeters of substrate.
Water gently with a sprayer and place your crop in a greenhouse at a temperature between 20 and 30°C.
The germination of Eleuthero seeds is rather long, counting 1 to 3 months after carrying out stratification and then sowing.
