Andrographis paniculata, also known as king of bitters, is a small plant of the family Acanthaceae.
It lives mainly in Asia.
king of bitters is 50 to 80 cm high.
Its flowers are purple and white.
king of bitters seeds are small and yellow in color, like that of skullcap.

Andrographis has long been used by Indian Ayurvedic medicine in particular where it is called king of bitters.
Used as a bactericide, Andrographis is also an antidiarrheal and can treat many diseases including infections, intestinal worms, fever and inflammation of the intestinal mucosa.

Today, we recognize the use of Andrographis to prevent and treat respiratory infections as well as echinacea purpurea or licorice.
If Andrographis has been used successfully for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine, it is only recently that studies have scientifically proven the virtues of this plant.

Sowing seeds of Andrographis paniculata:
Start by soaking your king of bitters seeds for 12 hours in warm water.
Then sow your seeds in a box of moist peat, then cover them with one or two millimeters of substrate then water with a sprayer.
Place your crop in a warm type greenhouse at a temperature of at least 25 ° C.
